Mentors Terms & Conditions


1. Introduction
Welcome to Edobb. These Mentor Terms & Conditions define the professional standards, responsibilities, and policies that every mentor must follow while using the Edobb platform. By registering as a mentor, creating schedules, and conducting sessions on Edobb, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to comply with these Terms & Conditions. Edobb is an AI-powered marketplace designed to help mentors schedule their availability, build a strong professional profile, and easily select or create courses, subjects, and topics based on their expertise. Through Edobb, mentors can conduct live 1-on-1 and group sessions with secure payments processed through the platform. This system provides Seekers with flexibility, transparency, and trust, while helping mentors grow globally, build a strong learning community, and increase earning potential.

2. Mentor Registration & Account Responsibility
Mentors must provide accurate and genuine information during registration, including their name, qualifications, certifications, experience, and areas of expertise. Mentors are responsible for maintaining the authenticity of their profile and must ensure that all information displayed on their Edobb profile remains correct and updated. Edobb reserves the right to approve, restrict, review, suspend, or terminate any mentor account based on quality evaluation, verification results, policy compliance, or platform requirements.

3. Profile, Courses, Subjects & Topics
Mentors can use Edobb’s AI-powered tools to easily select or create courses, subjects, and topics based on their expertise. Mentors must list only those topics and subjects in which they have genuine knowledge and the ability to teach professionally.

4. Teaching Standards & Professional Conduct
Mentors must maintain professional behavior at all times. Mentors must use respectful, supportive, and encouraging language and ensure a positive learning environment for every Seeker. Mentors must maintain academic honesty, respect student privacy, and ensure that their teaching approach remains appropriate, ethical, and professional. Any abusive, misleading, or inappropriate conduct will be treated as a serious violation.

5. Teaching Environment & Session Quality
Mentors must conduct sessions in a quiet, distraction-free environment with clear audio and video. Mentors must avoid interruptions, background disturbances, and any behavior that affects the learning experience. Mentors are expected to prepare thoroughly before each session, including topic readiness, examples, exercises, and teaching materials. Edobb encourages mentors to use structured explanations, creative teaching methods, and learning support materials to improve student engagement and outcomes.

6. Scheduling, Availability & Time Management
Mentors are responsible for creating and maintaining accurate schedules and availability on Edobb. Mentors must start sessions on time and deliver the full session duration professionally. Mentors should plan their schedules carefully and maintain short breaks between sessions to ensure consistent quality and punctuality.

7. Schedule Editing & Cancellation Policy
Mentors may edit, reschedule, or remove their schedules only if no Seeker has booked the session slot or day. Once a Seeker books a session, mentor cancellation is strictly not allowed. Failure to conduct a booked session will be treated as a serious disciplinary issue and may result in penalties, suspension, or termination. In rare and unavoidable unforeseen situations, booked schedules may be cancelled only by informing Edobb in advance through support@edobb.com. In such cases, an additional service charge may be applied, deducted from weekly billing, and the final decision will be made by Edobb based on the situation.

8. Platform Communication Policy (Strict)
All mentor–Seeker communication must take place strictly within Edobb using official platform tools such as chat, messages, and the live class system. Mentors must not request or share personal contact details with Seekers, including phone numbers, WhatsApp, personal email addresses, or social media accounts. Any attempt to communicate outside Edobb or move Seekers off the platform is strictly prohibited. Violation of this policy may result in immediate and permanent account deletion without warning.

9. Session Recording & Transparency
All live sessions conducted on Edobb are automatically recorded and stored securely in the Seeker’s login. Seekers can replay recorded sessions anytime for revision and learning continuity. This recording system ensures transparency, quality assurance, and safety for both mentors and Seekers.

10. Payments, Fee Collection & Payout Policy
All session payments must be collected only through Edobb’s authorized payment collection mechanism. Mentors must not accept direct payments from Seekers outside the platform. For the first 14 sessions, payments may be held by Edobb for quality checking, student feedback review, compliance monitoring, and verification purposes. Once the mentor account is verified, the held amount will be transferred to the mentor’s registered bank account within 14 days. After verification, mentors will receive weekly payouts every Tuesday through electronic transfer only. Mentors will have access to an Edobb Mentor Dashboard that provides detailed statements showing scheduled sessions, student attendance, collected amounts, refunds, refund reasons, and payout reports.

11. Ratings, Reviews & Feedback
Seekers are encouraged to submit ratings and reviews after attending sessions. Reviews and feedback directly impact mentor profile visibility, trust, and growth opportunities on the platform. If a mentor believes a review contains abusive language, false information, or inappropriate content, the mentor may request review verification by contacting support@edobb.com. The grievance team will respond as soon as possible.

12. Mentor Onboarding, Evaluation & Verification
Edobb follows a structured onboarding and verification process to maintain platform quality. Newly registered mentors may receive limited access during the initial stage. During onboarding, only group sessions may be allowed, student limits may apply, and 1-on-1 sessions may not be enabled. Edobb may evaluate one or more sessions, verify expertise, and review mentor certifications. After successful evaluation and verification, Edobb may issue a Verified Badge displayed on the mentor profile. This badge improves trust and helps mentors attract national and international Seekers.

13. Premium & Super Premium Features
Edobb provides Premium and Super Premium plans for Verified mentors to support faster growth and global expansion. These plans offer more flexibility, advanced AI-based tools, enhanced platform features, and improved visibility to Seekers. Premium and Super Premium options are designed to help mentors establish their mentorship globally, build a stronger Seeker community, and increase earning potential. Edobb may update or modify these features from time to time based on platform improvements.

14. Promotions & Marketing

Mentors are encouraged to promote their mentorship and Edobb profile through personal efforts such as social media, WhatsApp groups, and other digital or offline networks. Mentors may share their achievements, experience, learning outcomes, and success stories to build trust and attract more Seekers. However, mentors must not promote external teaching platforms, private classes, personal websites, or off-platform payment methods. All bookings, payments, and sessions must remain within the Edobb platform.

15. Penalty, Suspension & Termination

If a mentor violates Edobb policies, Edobb may apply disciplinary actions including a penalty of 25% of weekly remuneration after deducting platform charges and applicable taxes. Serious or repeated violations may result in temporary suspension or permanent termination of the mentor account. Violations include, but are not limited to, cancelling booked sessions, missing scheduled sessions, repeated delays, sharing personal contact details, off-platform communication or payment attempts, or promoting external platforms. All final rights and decisions remain under Edobb Mentorhub Private Limited, including the right to revise, enforce, or reverse decisions.
